Epoxy resins as a general rule of thumb tend to be harder, stronger and usually have a higher operating temperature than polyurethane resin systems. We have a very diverse range of epoxies ranging from adhesives through to encapsulation systems, within the standard range we have a number of flame retardant systems some of which are UL94V0 listed
Polyurethane resins tend to be more flexible than epoxy systems enabling them to work at lower temperatures whilst at the same time exerting less pressure on the components they are protecting than an epoxy would. Generally they are quicker gelling and curing than epoxies and tend to be more cost effective for bulk resin fill in certain industry sectors.
In addition to our large range of 'standard products' Global Resins will also work closely with the customer to formulate both epoxy and polyurethane resin systems developing the products to meet the specific needs of the application in question.
Complementing our own diverse range of resin systems we are also distributors of the Elite Chemical Industries range of epoxy and polyurethane systems. This product range moves us into the quarrying, mining and transport industries with their specially formulated ranges of tough tear resistant polyurethane and abrasion resistant epoxy resin systems.
